Post 4:Language School Raiguen

Magdalena Ramirez is one of the youngest members of the Familia de San Jose. She is a special education teacher who twelve years ago, along with two friends from college, took advantage of a government program to open a language school. Located just a few blocks from the Capilla Virgen de los Pobres, the school serves pre- school kids who are behind in language skills. The school is a happy charming place, decorated with bright colors and shapes. There is herbal garden, swings and computers. “This is a labor of love. We are grateful that God has provided all these years. The kids are doing great. Problem is that now as per government regulations, we must form a corporation or a foundation. We lease the lot so we might have to move and loose all we have invested on this place.” Although it is Sunday, several families have agreed to bring their kids. Josefa, Jose and Alonso are happy to show their school. They talk freely, play and sing. There is no trace of their prevoius language deficiency.
